It seemed to happen overnight, but suddenly there they were – cafes that are not quite cafes. No, instead of simply being focused around a coffee machine with a limitation to serving classic wraps, BLTs and if you’re lucky, a hot meal, these cafes now serve a different kind of fare. The food that you can order these places is somehow just that little bit gourmet.

Cafe No 5

Okay, so I’ve been a little slack over the last few weeks owing to being overseas and getting distracted by the over abundance of good food available in Malaysia. But, now that I’m back, it’s back to everyday life, and of course that means more food blogging! Kazbah on Darling

What could be a better way to spend a long weekend than to meet up with friends for a long brunch? So when a friend suggested a catch-up we all said yes in a heartbeat. Before you knew it, we had nine people on the list which pushed us over the the magical number of eight required to have the Breakfast Banquet at Kazbah. Chrysler Cafe Bar

Went for lunch today at Chrysler Cafe Bar in the Sydney Arcade at Pitt St Mall (loading up on fuel for some shopping you see!).

I had previously been here and loved the variety of soups that they offer (not just your every-day pumpkin soup) so I was a bit disappointed when it came time for ordering to be told there was no soup today. Not perturbed, we decided to order a classical chicken caesar and a salmon sandwich. Apart from this, the food here is generally very simple cafe food – sandwiches and salads.
