Good God, how time flies – in a blink of an eye, 2011 was over, we were celebrating the new year and now before I was even prepared for it, I’m staring straight at the impending February. Time really does fly by when you’re über busy.

Better late than never to get this up then. Late in 2011, Felix and I paid a visit to Quarter Twenty One – one of Justin North’s new ventures in what I like to call the Justin-North-Quest-For-World-Food-Domination of the new Pitt Street Mall Westfield. Blancmange

Nestled neatly on a quiet side street in Petersham is a homey feeling French and European restaurant called Blancmange to which a group of us converged on to celebrate our friend Amy’s birthday. Lucky for us, she managed to secure the private dining room for the dinner on the restaurant’s last day of service for 2009 and we were ushered into the restaurant in style via a super secret back entrance.

Bentley Restaurant & Bar – Let’s Do Lunch

One last Let’s Do Lunch last week to close off on a month of good eating thanks to the Sydney International Food Festival. This time, we decided to head towards Surry Hills and gave Bentley Restuarant & Bar on Crown Street a try. The restaurant is housed in a refurbished pub which has an unassuming aura about it. In that respect, it’s almost too easy to forget that this restaurant has been awarded two chef’s hats for several years running.
