Ah yes, the attack of the triple-word-titles. :)

I’m happy to say that I’ve been featured on the FoodPornDaily website today! After submitting the photo ages ago in July,  I’d completely forgotten about it. So I was pleasantly surprised when I received an email last week to firstly apologise that my submission had been stuck in their spam box, and secondly to say that I was going to be featured on 29th November (US time).

Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry! It’s been a stressful few weeks for me lately. I started blogging again this time with all the good intentions of being a lot more motivated to blog on a regular basis. Of course, that was based on the rationale that with the wedding and house-hunting over with – I’d be left with hours and hours of free time right? Oh, how wrong I was.

So anyhow, work’s been just a little bit stressful and overwhelming at the moment. But the end is nigh so I promise I’ll be back to regular blogging soon. All going well, I hope.

Phew, what a year 2010 was! In the space of one year,  I managed to squeeze in all the major stressful things that anybody could endure. Got engaged, planned a wedding, got a new job, figured out the new job, bought our home-sweet-home, got married and went on honeymoon. And if that wasn’t enough, the start of 2011 was all about moving in and furnishing our new place! :)

So, all that done and dusted, it’s time to get back in the game. And along with that, a nicely refreshed blog…so watch this space! Promise I’ll be back soon!

Taking it easy…

So, as you’ve probably already noticed, my posting has become largely non-existent of late. The reason being, I’ve recently gotten engaged and with a wedding coming along at the end of this year I’ve pretty much been pre-occupied with wedding planning, honeymoon planning, house hunting and to top it off…going after a new job (which I got!). Boy do I know how to torture myself!

So with everything happening and the fact that I cannot dedicate the time I want to towards writing/processing the best posts/photos I can (perfectionist, yes I am), I’ve decided to take it easy this year and come back with full gusto next year when everything’s done, dusted and sorted.

In the meantime…happy eating! :)

Andy Wana’s Beef Rendang

Tip number one – if you’re going to brag about your specialty dish, then it’s best not to do so in front of a foodie. That is, unless you’re willing to make good and prove its worthiness. After a few side comments from our friend Andy about the sheer awesomeness of his beef rendang, a group of us decided to challenge him to make it for us to eat. The perfect occasion for this was his birthday which was just around the corner and we were lucky enough to be treated to an Indonesian feast, followed up by the obligatory birthday cake.

Today, I, along with another 50 or so fellow Sydney food bloggers were invited to get together for a Christmas picnic in Hyde Park by fellow Sydney bloggers Chocolatesuze and Grab Your Fork. The only catch – we each had to bring one dish and a food-related kris kringle present.
