Most waitstaff assume you're not going to slurp that last mouthful of drink or finish that side salad, but it would be nice if they asked. On the contrary, some places ask if you're finished when there is nothing left on the plate apart from a few streaks of sauce! I hate it when plates or glasses get removed before I’m finished!
